Championship Disciplinary Hearings
The RFU has released disciplinary hearing results for Jordan Onojaife [Bedford Blues] and Ross Kane [Ealing Trailfinders].
Jordan Onojaife [Bedford Blues]
The case of Jordan Onojaife, Bedford Blues, was heard by an independent disciplinary panel chaired by Matthew O’Grady with Becky Essex and Guy Lovgreen.
Onojaife was charged with a single offence of Physical Abuse contrary to World Rugby Law 9.12 for biting the finger of an Ealing Trailfinders player in the match on 10 December 2022. The player denied the charge and denied committing any act of foul play however the panel upheld the charge and Onojaife was banned for 15 weeks.
Subject to any of these fixtures not taking place, the player will be free to resume playing from Monday 17 April 2023.

Ross Kane [Ealing Trailfinders]
The case of Ross Kane, Ealing Trailfinders, was heard by an independent disciplinary panel chaired by Charles Cuthbert, with Martyn Wood and Guy Lovgreen.
Kane received a red card for Tip Tackling contrary to World Rugby Law 9.18 during a match against Caldy on 7 January 2023. The player accepted an act of foul play but challenged the red card threshold. The panel upheld the red card and gave Kane a two-week ban.
Kane will miss the following games:
14/01 v Ampthill RUFC
21/01 v Hartpury RFC
