Disciplinaries: De Wee and Stevens

Disciplinary Updates on Bobby De Wee [Ealing Trailfinders] and John Stevens [Cornish Pirates].

The cases of Bobby De Wee, Ealing Trailfinders and John Stevens, Cornish Pirates, were dealt with last night by a virtual independent disciplinary panel (Wednesday 06 April 2022), comprising Sam Hillas QC (chair), Mark Langley and Martyn Wood.

Bobby De Wee was charged with dangerous play in a ruck or maul, contrary to World Rugby law 9.20 during a game against Richmond on 02 April.  He accepted the charge and received a three week suspension. As Ealing Trailfinders' fixtures aren't known at this stage, the three fixtures will be confirmed in due course. 

John Stevens was charged with dangerous charging, contrary to World Rugby law 9.16  during a game against Ampthill & District RFC on 02 April.  He accepted the charge and received a four week suspension. He will miss the following games:

09.04 v Doncaster Knights (Championship Cup)
23.04 v Doncaster Knights (Championship Cup)
Plus, two additional matches to be confirmed when fixtures are known.
