Jersey Reds withdraw from league structure
Confirmation that Jersey Reds will not play in The Championship this season.
Jersey Reds have confirmed that they have withdrawn from the league structure, so will not play in the Championship this season. Jersey RFC, the amateur club, remains within the leagues.
The RFU and the Rugby Players Association have put in place a hardship fund for players and staff and continue to provide support and legal advice.

The remaining 11 Championship teams will start the league season this weekend, 20-22 October. The league season structure will remain as is, with the existing Jersey Reds fixtures becoming bye weekends.
The RFU has confirmed it will support any friendly fixtures clubs arrange in place of bye weekends and has asked for as much advance notice as possible to ensure, in particular, match officials can be allocated.
There will be no relegation from the Championship this season, but the winner of National One will continue to be promoted to the Championship. The RFU is working with National League Rugby to determine the impact on promotion and relegation from National One and below, and will communicate this as soon as is practical.
