Bedford Blues travel to Dillingham Park for what has been dubbed "The Battle of Bedfordshire" in recent outings. The Blues are on a rich vein of form that has seen the club bank four wins from five this season, while Ampthill, after such a bright start to the campaign, will be itching to get back to winning ways with a victory over their county rivals.

Caldy welcome Doncaster Knights to Paton Field off the back of a stunning win at Ampthill in Round 7. The Knights head to the Wirral following an impressive outing in a friendly against Edinburgh last Friday, knowing that a win of any description will see them finish the year at the top of The Championship, albeit having played one more game than Ealing Trailfinders, who return to action on 13 January.

Hartpury have impressed in recent weeks and produced one of the fightbacks of the season last weekend against London Scottish, but now face a tough assignment with a trip to the Mennaye in Round 8. Cornish Pirates' match against Ealing Trailfinders was abandoned midway through the second half last week, but the men from Penzance now have an opportunity to build on a solid start and post their fourth win in six matches.

Cambridge head to The RAG on the hunt for their first win of the season, having pushed the likes of Nottingham and Coventry close in recent weeks. The Exiles' last three matches have all been two-point affairs, with the highlight being their shock Round 6 win against Ealing Trailfinders two weeks ago, and this 10th vs 11th clash points towards another close-run affair.

Coventry and Nottingham meet on Boxing Day in one of the most unpredictable matches of Round 8: keep your eyes peeled on the clubs' social channels for team news...in the meantime, here's a look at how the other sides line up this weekened:
